Jesús and Gloria’s casa particular occupies an entire floor of a century-old building on a quiet street just a few blocks from the historic district’s cobblestone streets and plazas. In 2015, after over a year of restorations and renovations, they began renting out two rooms to foreign travelers. The house retains its high ceilings and original tiling, and has a long plant-filled open-air walkway with entrances to the guest rooms.
Each bedroom has air conditioning as well as a newly renovated private bathroom with hot water. The rooms are simple but comfortable, and with two double beds, can sleep up to 4 travelers. Each room has a door lock for complete security.
Guests are welcome to enjoy the front living area and balconies overlooking Calle Compostela. Your stay with Gloria and Jesús will help them fund several home improvement projects they are currently working on, including facade repairs, high efficiency air conditioner units, and renovations to convert a third bedroom into guest accommodations.
Jesús and Gloria’s home is located in the heart of Old Havana, a UNESCO designated World Heritage Site, and within walking distance to a number of historical and cultural landmarks, including the Plaza Vieja, Gran Teatro, Capitolio, Museo de la Revolución, Parque Central, and Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes.
